I have decided to write about some Manteca businesses because after spending some time in these shops, they were horrible and treated their customers and any others just like dirt.
First, the Christian bookstore in the old Mervyn's center off of Main Street. These people only wish to promote items that are Christian only and from those they know rather than items that are Christian oriented and personally manufactured in Manteca. When approached about being able to take on items to sell from various Manteca companies and artists, they ignored the request and sent the persons on their way.
Next comes the Hallmark store on W. Yosemite Avenue, the crossroads intersection of Yosemite and Main. This store sits on the corner of Maple and Yosemite. The lady in that store was so rude, she did not even wish to know who was talking to her. I'm not going into details here, but even if this is your own store, the citizens of Manteca have been paying dearly with tax dollars to upkeep these old stores and also promote them. When someone comes in as a local artist or business that can promote local products and benefit both, and all the lady does is give a very bad attitude and send the person on their way, I say enough is enough.
So, my personal discovery of these two stores are this, do not shop at these stores, they suck! The owners and managers are not customer friendly and they are bitter old hags. The service and attitudes of these store owners are something that no one should have to endure. Both these stores rate a dismal 'F'. Go spend your dollars somewhere else!
