Petersen doesn't speak for every Christian

It's been a few days now since the last time I wrote about Brandon Petersen, Manteca Bulletin Sports writer and his flagrant attack on Frank Aquila. I had no intention of continuing this but that smear opinion is still there. What I did notice is Dennis Wyatt has allowed for this incident to continue and go unpunished.

Why would or should we be concerned about any punishment?

Who cares, really? Right? I mean, liberal journalism is all about using whatever you want to say to whom you wish to say it and never worry about the consequences. Do you really want to know what this is about?

The Truth!

You see, whenever right takes on the wrong, those in the wrong do nothing but complain and scream out loud to the tops of their lungs and can't back it up. It's because they know you are right. Isn't it amazing that it is only because we have a first amendment that protects others writing terrible things about you especially name calling (which is school yard immaturity at best) in order to get away with it. They'll even use 'religious terms' to speak their point as if it will give them some credibility.

Brandon claims he's a 'Born-again Christian' and is part of 'the' 'religious community'. I thought we were a family city? How come he mentions a 'religious community'? We do have gangs you know.

You see, as a Christian, you don't have a 'religion'. You have a faith. As a Christian, 'born again', the belief is that you can only enter Heaven through Jesus Christ, the living Son of God. So, you don't believe in any 'religious community' that has others in it that is not of your faith (religion). Hey, I'm not making this up, it is a fact. This is also a fact with others, they believe in their point as well. But, this does not mean we all can't get along. Brandon seems to see the same light as Oprah and so many others that say, "There are many roads one can take that lead to Heaven."

I think I have pointed out some good points here. Enough of religion for now.

My final conclusion is Brandon Petersen and Dennis Wyatt need some healthy attention. They certainly need our prayers. Confused and frustrated as they are and leaning left more and more each day is cause for alarm. Using the daily paper to smear a good man (Frank Aquila) every day is just plain wrong. It does not speak for all of Manteca, only for Brandon and Dennis. What this does show is that Frank was in the right and he hit a jugular vein and the truth hurts. At least those who 'can't handle the truth'. I took that from a line in 'A Few Good Men', Jack Nicholson who played Colonel Jessup, Marine Commander. Just like Jack I never served, but he sure did play a good part. Continuing...

I think we all need to boycott any subscriptions of the Manteca Bulletin and just rely on the Internet. It's free. Name calling in our city and our newspaper is and should not be tolerated and needs to be addressed. We certainly don't need to pay for it. Let's make a dent shall we?
