There are now five candidates running for Mayor of Manteca. While I have stated my vote numerous times on the various blogs and comments online, I've been blasted by others for my endorsements of others years prior including an attempt to confuse by placing words in my mouth from some liberal about how I stated a half-truth about Carlon Perry.
The fact is I have a right to choose who I want to endorse and who I do not want to endorse. I also have the right to change my mind years down the road. If you don't like it, then FUCK YOU! My free speech is what it is and I don't need anyone telling me how I should write or remind me of what I said attempting to hold me to it or prevent me from changing my mind. What I will not accept is someone telling something that is fabricated to lie outright and accuse me of saying something I did not say. That is a lie. That is a spin. Something liberals are very good at doing.
If you're going to comment online and say my name, you had better get it right...otherwise I'll give you a Check Mate.
Right now our country is in need of good leaders, real leaders and those who can get the job done because they have no special interests as our current politicians do. They hold no allegiance or run when they get attacked by liberals spinning half truths or holding them to articles years back. They are not socialists or Obama supporters. They are common sense and they are American. All others are fakes.
You and Willie share the same Kiwanis and have done so for many years. You and Willie both are retired from the City of Manteca with a generous salary to boot. Both have had several years of the same items holding this city back and you've done nothing about it. But now you've repented and want to make amends? You still want to spend which means more taxes. NO THANKS! We've had enough of former city employees running this city.
You have not even given a SINGLE reason why we should spend $98,000 on a full-time 'staff person'. Again, another city job created out of thin air. The only permanent revenue stream would be that persons salary. There is no evidence to the contrary that even begins to solidify your theory of such a position.
Samuel Anderson predicted this fall-out years ago before you even ran. He was right on the money each and every time. He was the first to suggest a 'rainy day fund', not Steve DeBrum. He's also against spending more than we have and find better solutions which Mayor Weatherford started doing by taking the ideas from Samuel's website.
Your title is simply a smoke screen to slam the city council and I'll say it again, it does not address any proven reason to hire a staff person to research and find ways for permanent revenue streams.
HECK! There are plenty of folks in this city that can do that already, and with Mr. Anderson's open door policy and plan to create committees on this, he'll soon enough find ways to have it all done. Yes, it's time for a change and a new focus to get away from those who worked for the city that do nothing but tax and spend our money.
